It's 3:44am and Ben, Amy and I are up editing, just for you. Yeah,
you. It's our latest project: "Jam and Crackers". I don't want to
give away too much but two men build a time machine and, in the
interest of a good story, something goes horribly wrong! It's a
mysterious but beautiful tale of mystery, beauty and microwavable
dinners. DVDs should be up for sale soon... If we ever get the
blasted thing finished. You may also be interested to know that we
are entering it into a competition. About God Big Brother: GBB is
currently failing to be edited. We have much more time pressure for
Jam and Crackers, making it our priority however we will get round
to finishing God Big Brother when we can. |

Wahey! First post of 2007! And what a year this is going to be...
Well, we were naughty people. We didn't do a Christmas Sketch :(
Sorry.
BUT! Hopefully you will forgive us in light of this...
Last weekend, ten of us and two very understanding parents went
off to St. Bartz...and we filmed GOD BIG BROTHER!
Currently my computer is wobbling nauseatingly at me as I upload
megabyte after megabyte of film onto it, and we still have a few
shots to do, but it's pretty much there! Editing will commence as
soon as all the film is up, and hopefully within the next month at
least Episode One will be up and running!
I won't give anything away, but I can tell you the ten cast
members were:
Myself (obviously), Ben (with a goatee), Nick (who is getting a
reputation as the naked comedian), Keira (getting a reputation among
friends as being inherently evil), Chrissy S (my little sister, who
plays an unhappy wife all too well), Henry D (Nick's little brother,
and future D.O.P), Fabio A (a great mate and great boom operator,
brrap!), Chris M (another great mate, with fantastic makeup), Mary R
(the only year 11, just completely wacky and hilarious) and the
amazing Oli E (who stepped in at the last minute, and what a star he
was!)
We also have what I guess might have been the Christmas sketch,
although it's not particularly festive...so prepare to see THE
GANGSTER SKETCH at some point too.
Happy (belated) New Year, people! |

No, we're not doing anything at the moment. All filming has ground
to an unhappy halt. Mainly because we all have lives to lead.
Unfortunately.
Well, at the moment college has reared its ugly head and
delivered bucket upon bucket of homework for me to finish. And I am
also doing Les Miserables with ReAct Theatre Productions in All
Saint's Church in Hove. Which incidentally, is mind-blowingly
brilliant and you should definitely come and see it. Quickly! (We
finish on December 2nd)
Ben is...well, I don't really know what Ben is up to. He spends
most of his time plugged into his computer doing very important
things, like averting the imminent zombie threat.
Keira, like me, is drowning under waves of homework, yet still
finding time to write his Doctor Who fan-scripts. (We're working on
making a whole series...but that's another story)
And Nick? Well, Nick is Nick.
But down to what you want to know: GOD BIG BROTHER is being
filmed over the first weekend of January. Expect to see Episode One
up and running soon after. Expect to see us excommunicated from the
church soon after that.
Ben doesn't seem to be doing anything about the Christmas sketch,
so I guess I'll have to remind him. Oh yes, we're doing a Christmas
sketch. You didn't think you'd escape that easily, did you?? But my
lips are sealed as to what it is.
Other sketches up our (sizeable) sleeves? We've had a KKK one
brewing for a long time...but the main problem is finding a shop
that hires out cosutmes. We also just recently came up with a short
one about the Queen. And of course, at some point we will do Pimp my
TARDIS. (Also, as we saw and were blown away by Casino Royale, I'm
sure we'll think up a sketch for it soon enough.)
Have fun, people! |

Just a tiny little update. We have had a lot more planning for God
Big Brother. We were meant to be filming on Wednesday but due to a
"technical hitch" we ended up planning episode 4 instead. Lots of
laughs and tears to come folks. Also I would like to introduce
"The Slagg Brothers."
Like us, they are independent sketch-makers, and for that anyone
should be commended, AND they are also one of our many rival
contenders for the prize of "David Beckham's Vagina (With Display
Case)."
We are linking to them right here! Stay tuned for
impressive sketches. (My personal favourite being the "Wristband
Salesman."
Enter at your own risk...

Deadfish Club is not responsible for the context of any external
websites, and by linking to them does not guarantee the quality of
the sketches seen therein will be to all tastes or suitable to all
ages. Check with Mummy and Daddy, guys.) |

Oh. My. Freaking. Goodness ...
WE'VE BEEN ACCEPTED ON THE BBC WEBSITE!!!
*dances for joy*
Our sketch is now very very available to view on the BBC Comedy
Soup website. It's been entered in a competition, and we don't know
how it's judged, so if you're going to have a shifty - vote for us!
(You have to become a member of the BBC online community, but it's
worth it. They don't even send you annoying junk mail.)
Here is the link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/comedysoup/A14089926 Enjoy!
On a more serious note... We, as a group dedicated to bringing
enjoyment to the masses, would like to pause for a moment and
reflect back five years to a day that affected everyone worldwide
and brought terror and grief to many people. We keep everyone who
has suffered as a result of 9/11 in our prayers, and remember the
amazing examples of love and community we found in our most
difficult moments. |

Good morning everyone!
It's now 1:27AM and we're just finishing off a sketch for a BBC
film competition. It's inspired by "Time Trumpet" and the theme is
"looking back at 2007".
It was interesting, as we had 7 minutes of good, loveable
footage, (that you will be able to see in the full version) and we
had to shorten it down to 3 minutes of good, loveable footage. So,
after hours of twiddling around and knocking off valuable seconds
from the footage, we finally managed to reduce it to 2 minutes 58
seconds and 10 milliseconds. It's still pretty good, but personally
i prefer the full version.
Anyways, in case you haven't noticed, this is the first message I
have ever posted on the website and I intended to make good use of
it.
Well, those are my intentions but unfortunately I've completely
run out of things to say.
Goodnight/morning everyone.
EDIT : From Ben
We would also like to present our latest sketch
The Viking King Sketch. Unfortunately we have had to hold this
sketch back from being released as it was made for someone's
birthday. But now it is ready to go. And with a new sketch we
present a new member of the cult that is "The Dead Fish Club." His
name is Keira and find out about him here in
his all new profile. |

For those of you who have seen the fantastic official poster for Stormbreaker on our main page, you might be
interested as to how it got there. A long time ago, Ben went to an
audition in London, very excited at having been allowed through to
this stage. He was then cruelly struck out in the first round. This
then after a while drifted into the back of our minds...until just
recently, when all of a sudden posters and adverts sporting this
blatant eye candy actor sprung up all over the place.
Ben says "Please support the Dead Fish Club by boycotting this
piece of trash pretending to be a film!"
Amy says "Go and watch this film...and then tell us how much
better Ben would have played Alex Rider!"
Nick says "Go and watch this film...and pay for me to come too!"
When we've seen it (we'll keep a record of all Ben's facial
expressions for your amusement) we may create a spoof to go with our
poster! Sketches in the Pipeline: God Big Brother Hot
Dogs Die in Cars Pimp my Ride Stormbreaker? |

We would have been filming God Big Brother this weekend...but three
cast members can't make it. And, um, we don't have a script yet.
And then we would have filmed it the weekend after, but SOMEONE
(this means you, Michela!) has a birthday party that several cast
members feel they must attend, rather than film all day. :P (Can't
wait!)
So... until further notified, we will continue filming on July
8th.
However, never fear loyal fans! I recently came across the
footage of a sketch we did a while back, and I finish my exams next
Wednesday, so I may edit that in my copious free time after that,
and put it up soon!
And to keep you occupied -
www.bbc.co.uk/filmnetwork
I just found this recently, and I can't get enough of it. Loads and
loads of short sketches from British filmmakers. It's very inspiring
for a motley crew like us. |

Next month BBC3 are doing a search for new comedy talent as part of
BBC Talent. And guess who plans to enter??? We'll keep you posted
on that situation.
Also we have had our first unbiased generally important critic.
-"Quite adult in content, But very entertaining"- Miss Hawking-
English Teacher at Cardinal Newman Catholic School-
She was commenting on a slightly longer project that Nick and I
have been planning for some time. This new project we also intend to
submit to the BBC. But don't worry!!! It will also be posted on the
website for your enjoyment too. Because we love our fans. |

Wahey! I've finally managed to sneak onto here to make this news
updates page a little less biased! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Anyways...yesterday, we went to Worthing Beach and froze to death
for your future entertainment. So you'd better be grateful.
I cannot go into any details as to exactly what the sketch is
yet, as it is a birthday present for a certain respectable and
much-loved person, who may be reading this even as I type it.
But I can tell you that it was our first official funded sketch,
so we're very excited!
Look out for it on the website from March 4th! (That's the
respectable person's birthday, if you hadn't guessed.) |

Happy New Year!! The Website now has a new introduction as some of
you may have learned when entering. If you have somehow missed it

again.
It feels very weird writing 2006... The years seem to pass so
quickly. This September The Dead Fish Club will have been running 4
years.... Isn't that odd? And still I am stuck here....Why are we
not Movie Stars yet??? It obviously Nick....He's holding me back....
bastard... *AHEM* Sorry got a bit carried away there...
I'm only joking it's not really Nick....
....
It's Amy.....
See you round... |
